Living on the eastern shore of an ocean, the elements are impossible to ignore. Every cloud is a different shape, every sky a different shade and the variety of sunsets evokes everything from Dante’s inferno to a tropical paradise. Abstract brings together the chaos and the majesty of the elements.

Crossed Paths is a theme we have been exploring for some time. The intersecting paths of different coloured glass create new shades and tones, while the textures evoke everything from the weave of branches in a hedge, to seaweed caught in lapping waves, to the babbling waters of Connemara’s myriad of streams.

Landscape is very important to us both.  Joseph carries with him the many colours, shapes and atmospheres of his native Cameroon.  Through the mists, rains and sun, the wild Atlantic setting is a backdrop to what we share today.  The classical Latin name for the island of Ireland, ‘Hibernia’ pays homage to the uninhabited Irish frontier of ancient Ireland’s rough and often, densely wooded landscape.
