Reeds Among The Turf - Part I
From Kerry in the South, to Donegal in the North, ‘The Wild Atlantic Way’ catches Atlantic clouds as they make their first landfall in Europe. As a result, the landscape is completely shaped by the rains that fall throughout the year, etching streams, rivers and lakes into the turf. Glass is the perfect medium to capture the glistening, sooty wetness of our streams, with their bog cotton, sedge grasses and reeds. This abstract piece, ‘Reeds Among the Turf’ echoes the rich, brown waters of Connemara’s trout-rich streams, and the plant life that reaches from them, up into the light.
Intricately woven curving multi-hued design with browns, greys and burgundy red. Designed to be hung horizontally or vertically.
