EMBLEMS OF THE WEST - PART IV

€800.00

There are many significant Emblems reflected in the history and culture of Ireland.

In the Gaeltacht (Irish Gaelic language speaking areas) and locations along the Wild Atlantic Way such as between Gweebara Bay, Gleann Fhinne, and Glendowen in Donegal; Achill Island in Mayo and Connemara in Co. Galway, which boasts the ‘Bodhran’, a traditional deep-framed, hand-held Irish drum.  The iconic ‘Aran’ hand knit sweater – a well-recognised item of clothing of the local fishermen now enjoyed by natives and tourists alike and the little known ‘Achill Yawl’ sailing vessel – native to Achill Island, Co. Mayo.

Driving through these areas of the west you are constantly in awe of the beauty of our country and the power it holds to inspire so many souls.

Our frames are designed and constructed to cater to weight of our art.
